Grade 2 stakes winner Preachinatthebar will begin his stallion career at JEH Oklahoma. WYNNEWOOD, OK - NOVEMBER 28, 2007 - Jim & Marilyn Helzer have purchased the grade 2 stakes winner PREACHINATTHEBAR and will stand him next season at their JEH Stallion Station Oklahoma Division near Wynnewood. The son of Kentucky Derby winner Silver Charm is the winner of nine races and $836,339. Among his stakes wins are the San Felipe Stakes(G2), Texas Mile Stakes(G3), Tokyo City Handicap and Windy Sand Handicap. He also placed in the Sand Diego Handicap(G2), San Pasqual Handicap(G2) and was third in the Sham Stakes. Trained by Bob Baffert, the gray colt's sire Silver Charm won the 1997 Kentucky Derby(G1). From five crops to race he has sired $11.5 million in runners. PREACHINATTHEBAR is his leading money earner. His dam is the Silver Deputy mare Holy Nola, a stakes winner of $216,812 and the dam of two stakes horses from three starters. She is also represented by Nola Lolly (IRE), a winner at 3, 2007 who placed second in the Premio Nogara. PREACHINATTHEBAR's second dam is a stakes-placed runner by Kentucky Derby winner Spectacular Bid who is the dam of 100% winner from starters including grade 3 winner Bare Necessities, an earner of $1,062,251 and full sister to Holy Nola.
