TRES D MAN TAKES CANADIAN CUP QUARTER HORSE DERBY ON SUNDAY
Saddled by John Harris, the gelded son of Tres Seis, completed the 400 yard course in :19.590 earning a 103 speed index. Ridden by Antonio Alberto, the bay gelding dueled through the race with Global Exciter before prevailing in the final strides. Bred in Arizona by Ron Cameron, Tres De Man earned $14,537 (USA) for the stakes victory. Global Exciter races for his breeder Donalda Cochrane. He picked up $6,461 (USA) for the effort. Edward Vanee and Ron Sakamoto's Trickzfun finished third. Saddled by William Leech and ridden by Nate Smith, the filly earned $3,876 (USA). Completing the field were Cash In The Coin, Rj Shakem, Platinum Pi, Cornova and Bird Amour.
