JEH STALLIONS SIRE FOUR FINALIST TO $300,000-EST. HOBBS AMERICA FUTURITY

HOBBS, NM — SEPTEMBER 26, 2009 — JEH Stallions sired four of the 10 finalists to the $300,000-est. Hobbs America Futurity(G3) on Saturday afternoon at Zia Park to set the fastest qualifying time.

The horses with the 10-fastest times from the six trials qualified for the Hobbs America final to be run on October 12.

Runnning Brook Gal, who won the All American Futurity(G1) and was second in the Rainbow Futurity(G1) was bumped at the start, drifted out but recovered to finish second by a nose in her trial race. Her time of :19.444 was the fourth fastest of from six trial races.

The BROOKSTONE BAY filly who is owned by A & C Racing and Roping now has a record now of 4-2-0 from seven starts and earnings in excess of $1.12 million.

Fedricka, a daughter of first crop sire FREDRICKSBURG, won the first trial in :19.513 seconds for the seventh fastest clocking. Bred by Jim Helzer, the gray filly is owned by Hector Estrada and trained by Jose R. Estrada. Flavio Lozano was in the irons.

Southern Snowman finished second in the fastest heat to record the ninth best time of :18.530. The SOUTHERN CARTEL colt is was bred by Bill Price and is owned by Southern Snowman Partners.

The final time of :19.568 went to Denis and Julie Schoenhofer's First Klas Fred. The FREDRICKSBURG, gelding bred by Jim and Marilyn Helzer won the $500,000 Ruidoso Futurity(G1) in June. Michael Joiner trains with champion jockey G.R. Carter, Jr. in the irons.
