FORTUNE SIX HUNDRED PICKS EARNS SECOND STAKES VICTORY
AJAX, ONT — AUGUST 30, 2009 — Roger Girard's Fortune Six Hundred ran her win streak to four Sunday afternoon with a one-length victory in the $92,644 All Canadian Futurity at Ajax Downs.
The daughter of leading first crop sire FREDRICKSBURG covered the 350 yards in :18.110. She was ridden by Tony Ray Bennett and saddled by Clinton Crawford.
Bred in Texas by Robert and Cristal Sherrill, the filly is out of the Six Fortunes mare Six Loops. The winner purse of $34,288 (USA) pushed her career total to nearly $68,000.
Fortune Six Hundred won the $63,000 Princess Stakes Futurity on August 3 at Ajax Downs.
Girard and Crawford also teamed for the second place finisher, Separate Cell. The gelding was ridden by Kim Ito and earned $17,144(USA).
Finishing a head back in third was Time To Splash Bac, a filly racing for Gary McNichol. Alan Todd saddled the bay with John McInerney getting the riding call.
Completing the field were Randy Coyote, Kold Toungue, All Wacked Out, Mount Ararat, Miss Scoot Dancer and McM Zooming Sky.
