JEH STALLIONS DOMINATE ALL CANADIAN DERBY TRIALS

AJAX, ONT — AUGUST 22, 2009 — Four of the ten finalist to the $75,00-added All Canadian Derby were sired by JEH Stallions.

The ten qualifiers will return on September 5th to contest the 400 yard final.

Fast Flung Floyd, racing for Roger Girard, put 1¾ lengths on Code 36 to win the second of four trials this afternoon. Ridden by Jesse Daigrepont, the HEZA FAST MAN gelding covered the 400 yards in :20.160.

Bred in Oklahoma by Michael Hester, Fast Flung Floyd pushed his career record to 4-3-1 from nine starts an earnings to more than $35,000. He picked up his second win from four starts this season. On July 5th he was second in the $45,000 Maple Leaf Derby at Ajax Downs.

Code 36, a colt by TRES SEIS finished second to qualify with the sixth fastest time. He is owned by Howard Salton and was bred by Walter Harrison.

Cerveza, a filly by CORONA FOR ME, posted the fourth fifth fastest time of :20.480. She is owned by Sandra Laszlo and Guylaine Paquin.

The seventh qualifier was Illegal Dreamer, a gelding by ILLEGAL RUNAWAY owned and bred by Mel Romain.
