DANCE MASTER IS #1 CUMULATIVE SIRE OF 2008 TWO-YEAR-OLD WINNERS
He was among the top five sires of two-year-old stakes winners and top three sires of two-year-old stakes horses. Cumulatively, DANCE MASTER was ahead of such important sires as Unbridled’s Song, Smart Strike, Giant’s Causeway, Storm Cat, Empire Maker, Johannesburg, Fusaichi Pegasus and Street Cry. The average fee of the top 40 sires of Two-year-old winners in 2008 was more than $45,000, going as high as $150,000. DANCE MASTER stands for a 2009 fee of $3,000! In 2008 DANCE MASTER sired 21 two-year-old winners, three stakes winners and seven stakes horses earning $822,066. His two-year-old stakes winners last season included A Day For Dancing ($148,543), My Dominick James ($106,633) and Master Link ($81,860). A Day For Dancing also set new track record at Woodbine for 4 ½ furlongs in 0:51.48 and My Dominick James posted a new track record at Arlington Park for 4 ½ furlongs in 0:51.22.
JEH Oklahoma also stands the grade 2 winner PREACHINATTHEBAR and six-time stakes winner MR. TRIESTE. PREACHINATTHEBAR, a son of champion and dual classic winner Silver Charm won or placed in 14 starts while earning $836,339. He won the San Felipe Stakes(G2), Texas Mile Stakes(G3), Tokyo City Handicap(G3) and Windy Sands Handicap. MR. TRIESTE, a son of Old Trieste, lit the board in 26 of his 37 starts with 15 wins and earnings of $602,429. His stakes wins include the Zia Park Distance Championship Handicap, Sunland Park Handicap, Veteran Stakes, San Juan County Commissioners Handicap-twice, Zia Express Stakes, Kachina Stakes, Downs At Albuquerque Handicap, and the Albuquerque Derby.
