JEH Stallions Sire Three Finalist To Sam Houston Futurity (G1)
SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK - AUGUST 24, 2007 - Offspring by JEH Stallions TRES SEIS and THIS SNOW ROYAL dominated the trials for the $342,500 Sam Houston Futurity while taking three of the 10 qualifying spots.
Big Biz, a TRES SEIS out of Speedy Empress, by First Down Dash, set the fourth fastest time of the 10 trials. Owned and bred by Sylvia and Bill Pitman, Big Biz is trained by John Buchanan and was ridden by Russel Hadley.
Another TRES SEIS offspring, Romancing Mary was the sixth fastest qualifier. Owned by John Mayers and trained by Paul Ramirez, the filly is out of the Rolls of Romance mare Romancin Ashley.
The Polar Express, a THIS SNOW IS ROYAL gelding owned by Eloy Martinez, was the seventh qualifier. Robert Touchet saddled the gelding out of Power Stroker, by Power Train.
The 400 yard final will be contested on September 7.
