TRES SEIS FILLIES QUALIFY TO $383,750 TEXAS CLASSIC DERBY(G1)
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX — NOVEMBER 14, 2008 — Two daughters of leading sire TRES SEIS were among the ten fastest qualifiers in the trials for the Grade 1, $383,750 Texas Classic Derby held Friday night at Lone Star Park.
John Mayers Romancing Mary posted the sixth fastest time. Bred by Broken Bones Cattle Company and Ed Leslie the filly is out of Romancin Ashley by Rolls Of Romance. Paul Ramirez trains with J.R. Ramirez in the irons.
Setting the seventh best clocking was Michael Taylor's Rebas In The House. The home-bred filly out of Thru Rebas Eyes, by Fishers Dash is trained by Heath Taylor and was ridden by Gilbert Oritz.
Jerry Whittle's home-bred Moonshine Memories was the eighth fastest qualifier to the Texas Classic Derby. Trained by Dwayne Gilbreath and ridden by Gaspar Garcia, Moonshine Memoires is by Leaving Memories and out of the Streakin Six Mare, Shiny Six. He was clocked at :21.568 seconds.

Lone Star Park’s 31-day, 2008 Quarter Horse Fall Meeting of Champions will be run from September 26 to November 29. Live racing will be held every Wednesday through Saturday in November, except Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 26-27 when there will be no live racing due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
