CHAMPION KETEL WON TO JEH NEW MEXICO IN 2009 A 5-year-old son of Champion and current 2008 Leading Sire of 2-Year-Old Money Earners Stoli, KETEL WON won or placed in 13 of 17 starts and earned $472,540. Racing mostly in New Mexico for his owner-breeder, R.D. Hubbard, KETEL WON was named the American Quarter Horse Racing Champion Aged Stallion of 2007. He is trained by American Quarter Horse Champion trainer Paul Jones. Among his seven wins were The Championship at Sunland Park (G1), Zia Park Championship (G1), All American Gold Cup (G3)-twice and Higheasterjet Handicap (G3). KETEL WON was second in the Mr Jet Moore Stakes (G3), Lovington Handicap (G2) and third in the Los Alamitos Invitational Championship(G1) and Hobbs America Derby. He was a finalist in the All American Derby (G1), Rainbow Quarter Horse Derby (G1), and Refrigerator Handicap (G1). His sire, Stoli, is the sire of 2008 All American Futurity winner Stolis Winner, an earner of $1,791,567 while winning eight of nine starts this season. He was the fastest qualifier to the $1.15 million Texas Classic Futurity. The final will be run on November 29 at Lone Star Park. KETEL WON's dam is the graded stakes winner Sixy Lady, winner of the Sunland Fall Futurity (G2), Ruidoso Horse Sale Futurity(RG3)and Ruidoso Horse Sale Derby(R), earning $146,318. She is dam of 7 ROM winners including the 2008 two-year-old stakes-placed The Sixy Side, who finished third in the Ruidoso Juvenile Invitational(R). His second dam, Lady Signature, is a daughter of Champion Aged Mare Lady Juno. She is a multiple grade 1 stakes producer and the granddam of 2008 All American Derby (G1) winner Noconi ($656,628) and fastest qualifier to the Hobbs America Futurity (G2), Brenda Beautiful.
