UNDEFEATED FEATURE MR JESS COLT QUALIFIES TO $1.15 MILLION TEXAS CLASSIC FUTURITY
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX — NOVEMBER 15, 2008 — Undefeated Grade 1 winner First Down Mr Jess was the seventh fastest qualifier with a 400-yard time of 19.864 in the trials for the Grade 1, $1.15 million Texas Classic Futurity over a fast track on Saturday night at Lone Star Park.
Ridden by Gaspar Garcia, the Sam Houston Futurity (G1) winner bobbled at the start but gamely defeated Dash For Cash Futurity finalist Specially Alluring by a head to keep his record perfect at 4-for-4.
Racing Chrissema Horses LLC, the FEATURE MR JESS, colt out of Le Mishka by First Down Dash is trained by C. Dwayne Gilbreath. Servel Ranch, Inc. bred the brown colt in Texas.

Lone Star Park’s 31-day, 2008 Quarter Horse Fall Meeting of Champions will be run from September 26 to November 29. Live racing will be held every Wednesday through Saturday in November, except Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 26-27 when there will be no live racing due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
