JEH ANNOUNCES SYNDICATION OF FIRST DOWN MORN

WYNNEWOOD, OK—AUGUST 17, 2008— JEH Stallion Station Oklahoma is pleased to announce the syndication of grade 1 stakes-placed winner FIRST DOWN MORN, who will be added to their roster for 2009.

FIRST DOWN MORN has won or placed in seven of 13 career starts while earning $193,829. He finished third in the El Primero Del Ano Derby (G1) was a finalist to the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity (G1), Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1) and the Governor's Cup Derby (RG2).

FIRST DOWN MORN competed with the same crop as champions Blues Girls Too, FDD Dynasty and All American Futurity winner No Secrets Here.

"This is a very exciting stallion prospect...he is out of a very fast Thoroughbred mare from one of the most prolific Quarter Horse female lines in the industry", said James Pruitt who has syndicated such leading stallions as Mr Jess Perry, Ocean Runaway and Stoli.

The brown four-year-old stallion's female line includes several notable Quarter Horse stakes sires.

His sire is the all-time leading Sire of Money Earners—First Down Dash. The World Champion son of former all-time eading Sire Dash For Cash has sired 209 stakes winners with earnings in excess of $65 million. Known as a "Sire of Sires", he currently has seven sons on AQHA's All-Time Leading Sires of Money Earners list.

FIRST DOWN MORN's dam is the stakes winning Thoroughbred mare Icy Morn who won 20 races while earning $380,668. She won the City of Arlington Stakes at Lone Star Park while establishing the course record in 55 and change. She lit the board in 33 of 39 starts while winning 12 stakes and placing in 12 other black type races.

A true sprinter, Icy Morn won from 4-1/2 to 7 furlongs her average winning distance at 5.85 furlongs. She was first or second at the quarter pole in 31 of her 39 starts and was clocked in 21 and change on 20 occasions.

The daughter of Crowned Jewel has been equally as impressive in the breeding shed.

She is the dam of five TB foals and five QH foals, 9 to race, 7 winners, 1 stakes winner, and 3 stakes placed. Among her offspring are the stakes winning Thoroughbred Icy Lane ($119,670), the aforementioned First Down Morn ($193,829), Early Morning Bite ($98,284 to 3, 2008, 3rd Rainbow Futurity G1, finalist Golden State Million G1 and Ruidoso Futurity G1), and Slighty Icy ($44,085, 3rd Denim N Diamonds Hdcp., finalist in the Los Alamitos Winter Derby? G1, La Primera del Ano Derby G2 and Los Alamitos Million Juvenile G3).

FIRST DOWN MORN'S second dam is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Matching-TB ($532,263) and Trippy Dip-TB, the dam of Champions Florentine ($1,123,102), Calyx ($164,468) and Ive Been Blesssed ($94,877).
