JEH STALLION'S SIRE ONE FINALIST TO THE $2,000,000 ALL AMERICAN FUTURITY AND FOUR TO THE JUVENILE
The 10 fastest times from the 15 440 yard trials are eligible to compete in the All American Futurity, quarter horse racing’s iconic futurity, on Labor Day at Ruidoso Downs, while the second 10 qualifiers will face off in the $150,000 All American Juvenile. FEATURE MR JESS sired three trial winners on the card, while TRES SEIS and THE DOWN SIDE each sired one trial winner. Racing for Clarence Scharbauer, Jr., Imasurebet, by JEH Stallion FEATURE MR JESS, won the 11th of 15 trials by 1/2 length to post the seventh best overall time of :21.795 seconds. Bred in Colorado by Thomas Bradbury, the colt is out of Think Twice About It, by Meter Me Gone. Michael Joiner saddled the All American finalist who was winning for the first time in four career starts. Champion jockey G.R. Carter, Jr., who qualified three finalist to the $2,000,0000 race, was on board. Feature Ten who finished third in the Ruidoso Futurity (G1) and second in the West Texas Futurity (G1) just missed the top ten by 3/100th of a second to be the top qualifier in the $150,000 All American Juvenile. He was timed in :21.846 seconds.
FEATURE MR JESS' final qualifier was Buildemhigh, winner of the July 20th Rainbow Juvenile Handicap at Ruidoso Downs. Bred in Texas by Jim & Marilyn Helzer, Buildemhigh has won two of four career starts. Racing for David Barrett and Keilani Farms, the sorrel colt out of Champion producer Okeydokey Baby is trained by Paul Jones and ridden by Ramon Sanchez. Buildingemhigh was a $46,000 Ruidoso Sale Yearling. TRES SEIS' grade 1 stakes winner, Baja Jazz, won the 10th trial in :21.891 four the seventh best Juvenile clocking. Bred in Oklahoma by Ann and Brad Tate, the brown filly Is out of the First Down Dash mare, Only The Wicked. Juan Medina is the owner with Heath Taylor saddling the filly ridden by Jose Alvarez who won the Longhorn Futurity (G1) in March and was second in the Retama Futurity (G1) on June 22nd. THE DOWN SIDE's Rainbow Futurity runnerup PB And Crackers was the second fastest qualifier to the Juvenile. Bred R.D. Hubbard and racing for R.D. and Shawn Hubbard, PB And Crackers has won two of five starts with earning in excess of $115,000. The Paul Jones trainee was ridden by Freddie Martinez and cocked :21.867 seconds while running second to the fastest qualifier.
