WILD SIX WINS FIRST START OF THREE-YEAR-OLD SEASON SUNDAY
RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM — JULY 20, 2008 — Wild Six, the Grade 1 winning daughter of leading sire TRES SEIS, made her first start this season on Sunday afternoon at Ruidoso Downs, winning by 1-3/4 lengths.
Racing for Lee and Sherwood Partnership and H. Mineer, the sorrel filly hopped at the start before getting down to business and easily drawing away from the field in the 350 yard allowance. She is being pointed to the trials of the Grade 1 All American Derby.
Saddled by Wes Giles and ridden by Alex Baldillez, Jr., Wild Six covered the 350 yards in :17.266 seconds earning a 98 speed index.
Last season Wild Six won six racing while earning more than $526,000. Her wins included the Rainbow Futurity (G1) and West Texas Futurity (G1). She was also a finalist in the All American Futurity (G1).
Bred by MJ Farms, Wild Six is out of The Signature mare Wild Vines.
