FEATURE MR JESS FILLY TOPS RIO RICO TRIALS
GILLESPIE COUNTY FAIR, TX — JULY 21, 2008 — Spin The Pages, a filly bred by James E. and Marilyn Helzer, scored the fastest qualifying time from five trials contested Sunday afternoon for the Rio Rico Futurity (G3) during the Gillespie County Fair Meet.
Racing for owner/trainer Jose Espinosa, the filly by FEATURE MR JESS out of Scarlet Snow, by THIS SNOW IS ROYAL, covered the 350 yards in :17.976 seconds. Ridden by Cipriano Vidana, she was the only juvenile from the trials to break the 18 second barrier on Sunday.
