Fund Established For Eddie Willis

HONDO, NM - JANUARY 29, 2008 - A fund has been established for trainer Eddie Willis who suffered a fire at his ranch near Caney, Oklahoma on January 19. Grade 1 winner Southern Takes All was among the 43 horses that were lost.

To donate to the fund, checks should be made payable to the "Eddie Willis-Fund for the Future," and mailed to JEH Stallion Station-New Mexico, P.O. Box 128, Hondo, NM 88336.

A fund-raising silent auction will also be held for a breeding to champion and multiple stakes sire Dean Miracle. The cause of the fire is still undetermined, according to John Haynie of the Oklahoma state fire marshall’s office.
