Tres Seis Sires Two Finalists To Ford California Juvenile (G3)

ArtLOS ALAMITOS RACE COURSE, CYPRESS, CA - AUGUST 17, 2007 - JEH's Second Year Leading Sire TRES SEIS sired two finalist to the Ford California Regional Challenge during trials run on Friday at Los Alamitos.

Janet McKinnerney's Tres Spice, who crossed the wire a neck behind Hawk In The City in the final of four trials, was the third fastest qualifier. Jim Hanson, who qualified three horses to the Ford California final, saddled theTRES SEIS filly, which earlier this year competed in the Ed Burke Million Futurity.

Jockey Cody Jensen and trainer Paul Jones combined to win the second trial with Nancy Yearsley and J. Garvan Kelly's Three Green Leaves, a filly also sired by TRES SEIS. The Oklahoma-bred filly was breaking her maiden after finishing fourth or better in her previous three starts.

The $25,000-added 350 yard final will be run August 31st with the winner getting a invitation to the $200,000 Ford Juvenile Challenge in November.
